Mondays, Deathbeds, and Failing my Permit Test (ADD #50)

For some reason, this post never went live. Better late than never :)

Hi Guys!!
So, it's Monday and needless to say, I am a bit under the weather. (more like a lot under the weather [which is why the title mentioned deathbeds]) Mondays are always the worst days to be sick on. In my jewelry class today, we had a sub who spent HALF of the class period trying to get the speakers to work for the movie we were watching. None of us really wanted to point out the fact that it was unplugged. :)

On Friday I went to go take my driving permit test and let's just say that it went as well as could have been expected. In other words, I FAILED EPICALLY. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating just a teensy tinsy bit, but I wasn't able to get my permit. :(

Book Review | Pride and Popularity | Jenni James

Tuesday January 27 2015
Author: Jenni James
Genre: Romance/ Classic Retelling
Age: 13+ (just because the main character is in her older teens)
Content Rating: G
My Rating: 5/5 *****
Average time: 3-5 hours
Pages: 225
Summary: (from the back of the book)
Chloe Elizabeth Hart despises the conceited antics of the popular crowd -- or more importantly, one very annoying, self-possessed guy, Taylor Anderson, who seems determined to make her the president of his fan club! as if! Every girl in the whole city of Farmington, New Mexico, is in love with him, but he seems to be only interested in Chloe.

This modern high school adaptation of Pride and Prejudice is a battle of wits as Chloe desperately tries to remain the only girl who can avoid the inevitable -- falling for Taylor.

My Thoughts:
This book was so cute! It had me cheering for the characters all the way to the end. Pride and Prejudice has always been one of my favorite classic stories and this book just increased my love even more so. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a good, clean, uplifting book. Books like these are so hard to find nowdays and Jenni James has done a fantastic job with her book.

Long Weekends, New Classes, and Ballroom Dancing (ADD #49)

Wednesday January 14 2015
9:00 PM
Hi Guys!
I just got home from such a fun youth group activity. We learned ballroom dancing and surprisingly, I am pretty good at it. We switched partners a lot so for the majority of the time, I was dancing with a bunch of short twelve year olds which was, interesting.

Funny story actually, the guy that I've kind of sort of liked for a while was there and we were actually starting dance partners. Everyone drew names to find out who they were dancing with first and he picked me. It was fate! <3 Goodness, I'm starting to sound like a sappy romance novel . . .

Hi Guys!
First of all, I would like to apologize for not updating since last Wednesday (I know, so not cool) but honestly, not much has been happening. We had a four day weekend because of the end of the term, and Martin Luther King Jr. Day and it was so nice. I honestly enjoyed doing absolutely nothing for a change.

This morning I made birthday party invitations with my little sister and they turned out so cute! She's having a PJ party so we made a bunch of paper pajama pants and decorated them super cute.

I just realized that I have to go back to school tomorrow and I am struggling to keep back my agonizing wails. On the upside, tomorrow is the start of a new term which is always nice. My semester classes switch which means no more history class! Yesssss!! It's not that I hate history or anything, but I honestly did not enjoy that class. All that the teacher did was leave us to our own devices and expected us to get our stuff done.

My schedule for this new term is:

1a. Graphic Design
2a. Drivers Ed
3a. Physics
4a. Jewlery
1b. English 10
2b. Choir
3b. Math 11
4b. Seminary/ Release Time

Tomorrow is an A day (I think) and I am super excited to see what my new classes are like AND I get to start drivers ed. (Woot Woot!!)

Funny little quirk of the day . . .
This was on my art final the other day. It had me like 😆. My teacher has a strange sense of humor.

(I don't know if that emoji worked. If not, it was a picture of a little dude making a weird face)

P.S. I got it wrong :) Apparently, one does not catch a polar bear with a can opener. 😂

Book Review | Letters to Julia | Barbara Ware Holmes

(Sorry for the quality of the picture. It was the only one I could find.)
Friday January 16, 2015
Author: Barbara Ware Holmes
Genre: Coming of Age/ Realistic Fiction
Age: 13+ (just because the main character is in her older teens)
Content Rating:
My Rating: 5/5 *****
Average time: 3-5 hours
Pages: 320
Summary: (from goodreads)
Liz Beech wants nothing more than to escape her crazy family and be a writer. Channeling all her energy and drive into her work, Liz becomes an astute and humorous observer of the people around her. When she begins writing to Julia Steward Jones, a professional editor, the two become fast friends. But Julia doesn't realize the impact that her words have on others until she has gone too far. This unforgettable novel gives readers a glimpse into the minds of two compelling and rich characters.

My Thoughts:
Before I dive too deeply into this book review, I would love to let all of you reading this to drop whatever electronic device you are holding, and go buy this book. Hunt it down; take no prisoners; I promise you, it will be 100% worth it.

This was hands down, one of the most beautiful books that I've ever read. Every page was pure poetry and it was a delight to read. For someone who loves writing, such as myself, this book is very relatable. I would recommend this to EVERYBODY and ANYBODY looking for a good read.

Txt #17

Just finished my last final!!!  It's all downhill from here!!!

tXt #16 (I think)

The power is out! Woot Woot!!!!!

Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award!!!

Thank you, Thank you! (clapping ends while I wipe a tear) Being chosen for this award is a huge honor and I would like to thank TuddaPudda (thetuddapuddadiaries.blogspot.com) for nominating me. I would like to thank my mom, for creating all of bringing all of my Audrey-ness into the world. I would also like to thank, my preschool teacher for teaching me how to read, and all of the English teachers that I've had over the years for helping me to develop my passion for reading and writing. Now without further ado, here comes the questions! (*hint: this was supposed to be kind of cheesy :)

1) Book you wish you could be sucked inside of for at least an hour?  Any of the Jane Austin Diaries by Jenni James. (especially Pride and Popularity [review coming soon])

2) What are you most afraid of? Sheep :) (If you understand the inside joke, comment down below. If not, good luck trying to guess why)

3) Character's chapters you did not enjoy reading. And skipped or almost did. Hmmmmm. This is a hard one because I generally don't read books that I don't like so I don't really have an answer to this question. If I think of one, I'll comment it down below.

4) A book you bought brand-new that is now torn because of how much you read it. Princess for Hire <3<3<3 (Sooooo good!!!! [review also coming soon{I'm WAY behind on the whole book reviewing thing}])

5) Do you have a certain routine you have to do before you sit down to read a book? Whenever, I read a really good book, I prefer to do it in one sitting (unless it is like 500 pages or something) so I have to get everything that I may need to sustain my life for the next 3-4 hours. (Do NOT try this at home)

6) Fave animal in 3 seconds? 1-2-3! Foxes :)

7) Where do you THINK you'll be this time next year? I will probably be at church because our time switches to later in the day.

8) Pick ONE: Writing, drawing or musical instruments? I love all three but I would have to say writing, hands down.

9) Would you rather, never have to sleep or never have to eat?  I HATE sleeping and I always have. It would be so handy to be able to do stuff for twenty-four hours out of the day.

10) And last but not least, if you could un-invent one thing, what would it be?(Whoa, gettin' all serious XD) I would invent a pen that could make stuff move without touching it. (Admit it. It would be EPIC!!!}

Before I close my acceptance speech, I would like to nominate a few of my favorite bloggers out there, as well as some of my followers, to answer the questions that I have created  (listed down below) I would like to invite my readers to answer the questions in the comments down below as well:

First day back at school, End of the Semester, and Death by Boredom (Dun Dun Dun!!!) (ADD #48)

Monday January 5, 2015
Hi Guys!
So right now I am sitting in English, waiting for everyone else to finish quizzing. Today is my first day back from the break which is so not cool. I think that I have a math test today so that is seriously stressing me out. I hate it when teachers give you tests right after the break. They expect that after not doing math for the past two weeks, we can magically pass a test.

Tuesday January 6, 2015
I'm chilling in the commons right now with TJ and Emilee. I got here a bit early so we are waiting for the other members of our posse to join us. Today I have my easy day of classes, thank heavens!!! Update: I didn't end up having a math test yesterday because my teacher decided to empathize with us and move it to next Tuesday which is great, except that I have four other finals on that day. :(

There are only two more weeks until the end of the semester and I cannot even begin to express to you how excited I am. No more history class. YESSSSSSSS!!!! On a sad note, it is the end of my creative writing class which was definitely one of my favorite classes.

9:27 PM
Hi Guys!!
So, sorry that this was kind of a boring post but honestly, today was just a boring day. I really REALLY hope that something noteworthy happens tomorrow or else I might DIE of boredom.
