How to be Happy

Hi Guys!
This post is going to be a little bit different than the ones that I usually do. I'm going to be giving you my advice on how to be happy.  Happiness is one of the basic necessities of anybody's life. Your happiness shapes you and molds you into the kind of person you will someday be. If you're not happy, then who are you? You may ask me, what is happiness? Happiness all depends on your outlook on life, the quality of your relationships, and your attitude. So, without further adieu, (yes, I FINALLY learned how to spell that word) I bring you the secret to being happy:

#1: Smile! Your smile is your most prominent feature. Use it! A smile can make your face seem more awake, it can make you seem brighter, and it covers any sign of exhaustion. I know some people who say that their smile sucks and they hate taking pictures. Well for heaven sakes see a dentist! You are beautiful no matter if your teeth are straight or not.
#2: Be Yourself Be who YOU want to be! Who said that you have to be completely yourself all the time? If you are not who you want to be, then what's the point? That's why I love life so much. You can change! You don't have to go with the flow but that doesn't mean you should go against the flow. Take a chance and become that person that you've always wanted to be!
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

#3 Have a good attitude: How do you feel when you talk to someone and the first thing that comes out of their mouth is a complaint? I can tell you that it is rare to never experience it but if you haven't, I can tell you from personal experience that it hurts. It hurts to know that someone isn't listening to you because they're too busy worrying about what's going wrong with their day. Overall, being happy all buckles down to your attitude. >>>>>>>>^^^^^^^^^

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
#4 Follow your gut.  If you have a feeling that something's not right, it probably isn't. You will be happier and more successful in the long run if you do what you want to do and not what other's pressure you to do. When you don't know what to do, listen to your heart. That feeling is always right.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post!

SAQ (Should Ask Questions) #1

Hi Guys!
I have been wanting to do a question and answer for a while but I haven't gotten enough questions to answer! So I thought to myself, why do my readers have to ask the questions?  Here are twelve questions that I think you "should" ask but haven't yet.
  1. How old are you? I am fourteen and a half.
  2. What grade are you in? I started ninth grade last tuesday.
  3. Any advice on high school so far? Ignore the annoying seniors. Not all seniors will pick on you, but yes I do get picked on for being a tall and scrawny freshman. Good luck to anybody who is starting high school or even if you've already started.
  4. Any advice on middle school? Don't make drama when there's no drama. Honestly, my middle school experience was WAY more dramatic than it needed to be. For some reason thirteen year olds have to make such a big deal out of nothing. Play it chill and you will have a much better middle school experience.
  5. When did you start your blog? April 13 2013. Two days before my birthday.
  6. Where do you hope you're blog will be in one year? I hope to be still inspiring people with my posts and giving advice on how to not die in high school. I also hope to become a better known blogger and interact with readers more.
  7. What is your favorite type of post to write? I honestly love doing tags. I not only enjoy writing them, but I also love to read them. If you do any of the tags that I have done, send me a link in the dear audrey section down below and I will go check it out.
  8. Would you recommend starting a blog? Well, it depends on your situation. If you are reading this in the middle of the summer because you are sooooooooooooooo bored, then yes. I would consider starting a blog. But, if you are in the middle of a school year and trying to find time to do everything that you need to do, I would recommend waiting to start a blog until you have more free time.
  9. How long does it take you to write a post? If I am really motoring, fifteen minutes. I love giving you guys good and interesting content to read so if I have the time, I sometimes spend an hour on a post.
  10. How do you find time to write everyday? I write whenever and wherever I can. In english class, we often get free write time and during that time, you can usually find me writing blog posts. I get to school early most of the time so that I can write in the sanctuary of the library. I also write late at night because that is when I find the most inspiration.
  11. Do you find it hard to come up with ideas for new posts? No not really. Ever since I was little I have always loved creating things or coming up with ideas to share to everyone. The only reason that I am not famous yet is that technology hasn't quite caught up yet! I have at least a hundred more post ideas so stay tuned!
  12. What is your biggest and most far fetched dream? I really want to go to NYU, major in Journalism and minor in photography and become a Journalist for the New York Times. I know, it's crazy but hey! The question said far fetched.

Hope you enjoyed this post!

Audrey's Daily Drama #15: Tuesday August 20 2013 FRESHMAN ORIENTATION

6:58 AM
Hi Guys!
Today is Tuesday and I am about to leave for school. Summer is officially over! :( On the bright side, I finally get to start high school! I'll be updating this post all day and publish it tomorrow. Write whenever I get the chance! See ya!!

11:05 AM
Hola,
So right now I am sitting at a lunch table in the commons area in the high school! I am here with Emilee, Brie, Jane, and Jackie. Gosh this school is so big! I will definitely get lost for the next few days. Or weeks.. Or months...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Convo between Audrey, Jane, Jackie, and Angie

Audrey: We're in the library right now. Today has literally been a blast.

Jackie: This is such an exciting opportunity to attend this awesome school!

Audrey: They even have a vending machine!

Jane: I am really freaked out! This is so fun and confusing, I don't know what to do. Above all, this has been totally awesome!

Audrey: Not only do you talk fast, but you also write fast! :)

Jane: Thanks but it is totally messy. You should see me in a debate setting where I only have a certain amount of prep time.

Jackie: I on the other hand, can claim I write slowly. Wel sometimes. Sometimes my handwriting looks like chicken scratch! :)

Audrey: :)

Jane: You two! :)

Jackie: I'm :) right now. High school is really exhilarating (Audrey: Whaaaaaaat?????)To be honest, it's never like the movies, or how people say it is. Its 100x better! :)

Audrey: Exactly. The people in our school seem so nice!

Angie: I hope we break out in a  flash mob after 3rd period like in the movies!

Jane: Yeah but I'm definitely not going to be the lead!

  • Favorite Summer Lip Product??? Maybelline Baby Lips, Peach Kiss
  • Pool or Beach??? The closest beach to my house is twelve h
  • Summer = Crazy Hair! Favorite Styling Product? None of Your Frizziness Shampoo and Conditioner by Herbal Essences. I love this stuff and it actually does what it claims to do. And it smells AMAZING!!!

Back 2 Cool #4: School Makeup Ideas

Hi Guys!
When I do my makeup for school, I tend to go more natural and subtle with a pop of color. Here are some of my favorite tutorials to achieve the perfect, natural, back to school look.

Idea 1:

eye brightening makeup tutorial
I do this look all the time and it truly does work. It gives the appearance of bigger, brighter eyes while keeping it extremely subtle. Make sure to use an eye-shadow base to ensure that it lasts all day long.

Idea 2:
Gradient Eye Makeup Tutorial
I like this look a lot because it incorporates color while still keeping it natural. This look isn't as natural as some that I've seen but I do like the hint of purple in the crease. This look was created using one of the wet and wild trios that can be found for about five dollars at just about any drugstore.

Idea 3:
Classic eyes - I wanna try this!Lately I have been absolutely loving winged out eyeliner. I think that it looks great when done right. This look is the most natural of natural, using very little shadow and focusing mostly on the liner.

Idea 4:

When getting your photo taken, blush is a beauty must have. It helps you not look washed out and dead in your photo. Here are the swatches from the entire Maybelline Dream Bouncy Blush line. I really like these blushes and they are from the drugstore!!! They have this super cool consistency that literally makes them "Bouncy".

How to be Completely and Utterly Smart

Hi Guys!
Something that I know a lot of people struggle with is impressing people with their smarts. Some people are so smart that it can be irritating but some people (like me) never know what to say without sounding like a complete nerd. So here is a list of a bunch of random facts that are sure to impress! Hope you Enjoy! :)

  • Adult elephants can't jump.
  •  The amount of force used to bite into a carrot is the same amount of force to bite your pinkie off.
  • When you die, your hair still grows for a couple of months.
  • The names of the two stone lions in front of the New York Public Library are Patience and Fortitude. They were named by then-mayor Fiorello LaGuardia.
  • An inch (2.5 centimeters) of rain is equivalent to 15 inches (38.1 centimeters) of dry, powdery snow.
  • It took Leo Tolstoy six years to write "War & Peace"
  • In ancient Rome, it was considered a sign of leadership to be born with a crooked nose.
  • Dueling is legal in Paraguay as long as both parties are registered blood donors.
  • It is genetically impossible for a rose to come in color blue.
  • On average, there are 178 sesame seeds on each McDonalds Big Mac bun.

  •  Nutmeg is extremely poisonous if injected intravenously.

  •  A poinsettia is actually a tree, not a flower.
  • Rubbing banana peel on mosquito bites will help stop the itching.
  • Babies are born without kneecaps. They don't appear until the child reaches 2-6 years of age
