Audrey's Daily Drama #8: Friday 5/31/2013

Hi Guys!
Today was the last day of school and if I do have to say so myself, it was pretty epic! Where I live, we only go to school for a half-day on the last day. Class periods are only like fifteen minutes long so I had to hurry really fast to get everybody to sign my yearbook. In the end I filled up almost every single page! When the bell rang, they started playing "Harlem Shake" on the announcements and I was the only one who was shaking. I looked totally ridiculous.

Yesterday, we went on a field trip to the sort of local amusement park and it was a blast! I rode almost all of the rides and got sugar high off of like three bags of cotton candy. Audrey was not a pretty sight on the bus ride home. It was fantastic!

I would absolutely love to hear about any amazing field trips or your last day of school. Email me at audreyryanblog@gmail.com and I will try and answer.

TTYL and have an EPIC summer!!!!

Audrey's Daily Drama #8: Saturday 5/25/2013

Hi Guys!
I was reading my last daily drama and it struck me that I haven't done one in OVER A MONTH! That is absolutely insane! Sorry for depriving you guys of some of the crazy things that go on in my life. But hey, this definitely won't be a short post because a TON has happened this past little while that I am excited to share with you.

So a little random drama. On Thursday, I was at my local recreation center playing tennis and at random, the fire alarms started going off. Everyone was like, "Should we evacuate?" we never did evacuate and now I am typing this as a ghost. Just kidding! The fire alarms went off for like twenty minutes before they finally stopped.

The other day I was looking for a pen in my school bag and you will never believe what I found. A subway card! I have never even BEEN to subway so now you may be able to comprehend how weird this was. My dad claimed it but I'm really not so sure......

Last weekend our young women's group had a Yard Sale fundraiser for girls camp and we had insane success. We raised over 1,400 dollars and most of the stuff we sold was under a dollar. Imagine how big the it was...........

By the way, I had the opportunity to spit off of THREE more  bridges today so I'll add that number to my bucket list. I went bike riding again with Jackie and Jane and every time we saw a bridge, we stopped and spit off of it. It was quite enjoyable!

I am literally out of stuff to talk about. As I'm sitting here on my bed, I am realizing that I need a life. My Saturday night consists of coloring, yes coloring, and telling my siblings stories. Although I have to say that I am a pretty epic storyteller. There is this one that is a way twisted version of Rumpelstiltskin. (had to use spell check for that word. Who knew it was in spell check!!)  If you want to hear a post soon telling one of my, strange, bedtime stories please comment down below! I personally think that it would be sooooooo much fun to do.

My keyboard is broken. The letter "C" fell off and now every time I need to type it I have to push the little tiny button. There is nothing that literally bugs me more than a broken keyboard except for bananas of course. (another word I cannot spell)

Now I am really, truly, deeply out of things to say. I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll talk to you later.

(Why the heck do I say "talk to you later"? This is a blog for heaven sakes! I should start saying write to you later or post to you later or even something like letter a message to you later. What do you think?)

Just to be a Girl Tag

Hi Guys!
I thought that it would be fun to do a tag today. I found this one on PinkGlitter10's blog and I thought that it was really cool so I will try it out! I am not answering all of the questions because it is a relatively long tag and I want to keep it short and sweet. Enjoy!

  1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight? My hair is naturally curly and so is my mom's and my grandma's and my great grandma's so I guess it runs in the family. I don't have full on crazy curly hair. My hair looks more like blown out beach curls.
  2. What is your natural hair color? My hair varies in color depending on the time of the year. At the very bottom though it is a deep dark brown color although it looks caramel on top.
  3. Do you dye your hair yourself or do you get it done at a salon? I don't dye my hair! All natural's, unite!
  4. How often do you wash your hair? Well this is kind of personal but, every other day.
  5. Do you wear the same hairstyle everyday or do you like to change it? I like to change it but I don't use heat on my hair except for special occasions. Most of the time I try a cute new updo, or braid. When I wear my hair down I use a salt spray to bring out my natural curl.
  6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or do you go to a salon? I do my own. Honestly, I don't know anybody my age who can afford to get a mani/pedi at the salon regularly.
  7. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just in the summer? I always have my toenails painted because a couple years ago I got surgery to get rid of my ingrown nails and they look weird when they're not painted. I paint them more often in the summer because I tend to wear more sandals and go barefoot more often.
  8. How often do you change your nail polish? Once a week.
  9. How long does it take you to put on your makeup? 10 minutes max. I work with how much time I have so I do more on the days that I have extra time.
  10. What do you do first? Face or Eyes? Lips, Eyes, Face
  11. Do you collect makeup, or do you just buy it when you need it? Essentials such as mascara, foundation, and concealer I just buy when I need it but sometimes it is fun to splurge on a really cool palette or some awesome eyeliner, or a shocking shade of lipstick.
  12. How often do you wear false eyelashes? I have never worn false eyelashes
  13. Do you do a full face of makeup every day? No way! It takes way too long. Usually I just conceal dark spots, apply powder and mascara and I'm out the door.
  14. Do you wear makeup when you're home alone? When I'm home alone, I can experiment without being judged. :)
  15. Will you leave the house without makeup? Oh yeah!
  16. How many high end products do you have? I have 0 high end products! Shocking right?!
  17. How often do you wash your makeup brushes? Sadly, only once every like two months.

Hope you liked this post and I'll talk to you guys later!

How to Clean Your Room in a bunch of simple steps

Hi Guys!
So today, my parents asked me to do the unthinkable, the impossible, the most daunting task available to a teenager; clean my room. So I figured if I was going to clean my room, I might as well get a blog post out of it. Here is how I clean my tornado stricken room in a bunch of simple steps!

Supplies: (Any of these are optional)
Trash Bag
Three empty buckets or baskets
A Playlist of your favorite tunes
A hair tie
Thick Masking Tape
Chapstick

  1. Put Your hair up in a high ponytail- I can not stress how important this is. The most annoying thing when your cleaning your room is having to worry about your hair so get that ponytail up as high as you can go!
  2. Apply Chapstick- Kind of random. It's kind of nice to have on chapstick while you are cleaning your room. My personal favorites are: Carmex-Moisture stick, Burt's Bees, and EOS.
  3. Start your music- You will clean a TON faster with music (at least I do)

Round ONE: Books and Clothes

  1. Clear a space for the three empty buckets or baskets- use the thick masking tape to mark them for the first round of our endeavour: Dirty Clothes, Clean Clothes, Books
  2. Fill Up the baskets- when you are done, your room should look a lot better
  3. Put away the contents of the baskets- Wash the dirty clothes, hang up the clean clothes, and shelf the books
  4. Make Your Bed- There are thousands of Youtube videos on how to do this just like hotel maids so watch a few and make your bed look nice!

Round TWO: Shoes, Makeup, and Stuffed Animals

  1. Take off the tape from the last round- Re-label the baskets: Shoes, Makeup, and Stuffed animals
  2. Fill Up the baskets
  3. Put away the contents of the baskets- Put away your shoes (I have a shoe tree but some people may have a rack. Don't get a shoe tree unless you have a walk in closet.... I do not and it does NOT work!). Arrange your makeup in your vanity or in your bathroom and put stuffed animals wherever you usually put them.

Round THREE: Anything that doesn't belong in your room

  1. Take off the tape from the last round- Re-label the baskets: Bathroom, Kitchen, and another place where things might need to go.
  2. Fill up the baskets
  3. Put away the contents of the baskets- Take all dishes to the kitchen, Hair products to the bathroom, and put away anything else that doesn't belong.

Here are some more categories. Go through the ones that apply to you

  1. Sports stuff: Indoor, Outdoor, In your room
  2. Papers- School, Work, anything else
  3. Misc- Pens/Pencils, textbooks, sheet music

By now your room should be looking pretty clean.

FINAL ROUND!!! YAY! YOU ARE ALMOST THERE

Label the baskets: Trash, Recycling, and donation and that should pretty much finish up your room

I hope you liked this post and as always, found it helpful.
TTYL!

My Top Five Stress Relief Tips

Hi Guys!
As promised, here is my stress relief tips. As the school year draws to a close, I know that I tend to get super stressed with school, family, and even my very small social life. Over the past little while I have realized  that if you know when you tend to get stressed, all you have to do is be prepared and it won't be as bad. So enough with the intro; here are my top ten stress relief tips! Enjoy!

1. Exercise regularly. I know with a busy schedule, it can be hard to find time to exercise. I play tennis    three times a week and on the other four days, I love to bike around town with my friends, play basketball in my backyard, and even hit the playground once and a while.

2. Get plenty of sleep. I know that your parents or your doctor probably tells you this all the time but it really is true. Teenagers should be getting between 8-10 hours of sleep. I am absolutely horrible at going to bed on time so if you struggle with this at first, know that you're not the only one!

3. Color! Honestly, I don't think that there is anything more relaxing than coloring. Go to your local target and pick up a coloring book and a package of crayola crayons. It will do you good; I promise! Here are some good websites to print out coloring pages if you prefer that over a coloring book:

http://www.999coloringpages.com/
http://www.google.com/search?q=coloring%20pages

4. Go on a bike ride. Find a bike trail near your home and let it loose. There is no speed limit for bikes! (don't forget to wear a helmet)
4. Try Yoga. Yoga programs are designed to calm the mind which is exactly what I need when I'm stressed. On youtube, you can find so many free videos. Here are some links:

5. Aroma Therapy. Light your favorite candle, spritz your favorite perfume. It will soothe your muscles and calm your mind.

5. Go out for a spa day. It is nice to get away for a while and have people pamper you. I love the spa because of the soothing and peaceful atmosphere it has.

So I hope that you enjoyed this post. Thanks again to everyone who helped me reach 1000 page views, I seriously still am in shock.

The Love Doctor: Consultation #1

Hi Guys!
I am here today with some of my fabulous friends (Whoop whoop! from friends) and we are going to record our conversation. I am in Green, Emilee is in Turquoise, and Emma is in Purple

So, wassup
No, don't start with boys until later in life and boys are like drugs, they are addicting and cute, and then they break your heart and you basically die.
I think boys are AMAZING!! (to all you guys our there! :) ) but I have a story about this guy. Tell me what you think down at the comments
So there is this guy I really liked ever since I moved here and met Audrey. We call him Bowtie. (He just really likes bowties!)
Didn't he like wear a bowtie to that school dance once? or was it a band concert? (Emma plays the flute)
it was both
Audrey's Dad. "Hey Audrey, is this pancake burning?"
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS!!!!!
Well, that was quite in interruption  Oh well.
So We liked each other alot! Well, anyway, my friend got involved and ruined it all
We need revenge
You don't want to know what the revenge i am thinking of is
Yes I do
No you don't
Yes I do
No You don't
Yes I do
Alright, so in NCIS Ziva David wanted revenge because her father was killed so she killed the man who killed him.
Let's kill him!!!!! Not!!!!
Emma just ran over to the piano and is now playing a revenge song
This is the perfect revenge song.
I NEED TO SAY SOMETHING NOW
Hey! You guys interrupted me!! Right now Emilee is playing with my pet rat. Yes, a rat. Don't even ask.
Don't Judge me!
Well, what I was going to say is nothing is fair in love and war. Right now Emilee is laughing her head off and I honestly don't know why.
will she bite me?
No I don't think so
(my little brother lecturing my friends on the proper way to hold a rat)
Boys are stupid!!!
Ditto!
Ow!
So, moral of the post, boys are stupid  but  we love them.
Little Brother: Hey!!
dinosaurs probably had nine lives. I think that what happened, is that dinosaurs died nine times and came back every time except for the ninth. Then they became extinct.
Wow we are way off topic
Ditto, again
Meow
Rawr
We are so weird!!!!
One last question. Tell me everything you know about liking a boy and you both like eachother but your friend messed it up and you want to get over him but you cant and you still like eachother. He wrote me a note saying sorry. Should I respond, or what? Pleeeeeeeze let me know!!!!!
Sleep
Well, that's about it folks
no its not
lets just leave it at that
fine
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed hearing what some of my friend had to say. Comment down below if you would like any more of these!

Audrey's Daily Drama #7: Saturday May 4

Hi Guys!
Right now I am listening to that Taylor Swift hit, "We are Never Ever Ever Ever Ever Getting Back Together" (at least that's how it seems). There are so many parody's for this song it is hilarious! Anyways, these past couple days have been, (pause, for effect) interesting. Yesterday I went on my first real babysitting job, Gasp!

I know what you're thinking, fourteen and never had a babysitting job. Truth is, I have babysat my little brothers and sister but that doesn't really count because they are family. Honestly, I had a blast while babysitting. There was four kids (11, 9, 4, 5) and they were so easy! I absolutely love babysitting jobs that are actually fun. We watched Parent Trap and played outside and it was truly fun!

Today I hung out with some of my best friends Jackie and Jane. (joyhappinessandfun.wordpress.com, tennisshoesandpromdresses.wordpress.com) We went on like a ten mile bike ride which was such a stress reliever. Soon, I am going to do a post on stress relief but my biggest tip honestly, is to do something hard. It makes you feel like you can accomplish something and do something that some other people may not be able to do. On the bike ride I got to spit off of two new bridges so I'll update that on my bucket list right after this goes up.

After we got back from the bike ride, we went over to Jackie's house and watched a silent movie. Silent movies are cool because in order to make the plot clear, they dramatize everything so much that it becomes hilarious! We watched "The General" (1939) and it was good so I think I may do a movie review on it soon.

Well I hope you enjoyed this Daily Drama and I'll talk to you later!
